As well as our monthly social events at The Star, Llansoy, we organise club runs.  We also support classic car events locally and further afield. We take part in, or organise, at least one classic overseas excursion each year, typically to Brittany or to the Le Mans Classic.

Unfortunately, our plans have been disrupted by the Coronavirus outbreak, so here's the current status of the events we've got in mind, in addition to our regular monthly gatherings at The Star:

Llandegfedd breakfast meetings.  Our monthly gatherings at the lake for coffee, chat and breakfast are on hold at present.  See the newsletter for each monthly date. When they're on, turn up at 10.00am at the lower teir of the car park above Llandegfedd visitor centre (up the hill towards Llandegfedd village).  Coffee and breakfast will be available at the visitor centre.  It would be helpful if you could let Nigel know in advance if you would like breakfast - uskvccc@gmail.com

26th April - Drive it Day.  In line with advice provided by the Government and by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, we have no alternative but to postpone our Drive-it Day plans until later in the year. New date yet to be confirmed.

2nd May - Wye Valley Run. Cancelled.

9th May and 10th May – Winchcombe Rotary Club Cotswold Tour.  Organised by Winchcombe Rotary Club, a tour on Saturday followed by a Garden Party and Hillclimb on Sunday at Prescott. Cancelled

16th 17th 18th May  - UVCCC Welsh Weekend now North Somerset Weekend!  We will review the evolving Government and FBHMV advice nearer the time – at the moment it looks unlikely to go ahead. Contact jmikebrown.2@gmail.com

16th 17th May - Ludlow Transport Festival.  The Organisers will make an announcement on 27th March whether to go ahead or cancel http://www.ludlowspringfestival.co.uk/bookyourcar

1st to 6th July - Le Mans Classic.   Once again, we have a trip planned to this great bi-annual event.  We currently have two spare places including camping and circuit entry tickets available. Contact Mike Brown for more information  jmikebrown.2@gmail.com

30th July to 2nd August - Silverstone Classic.   We have booked a Club Stand which entitles members to Classic Car entry to the in-field area as well as personnel entrance tickets. You will probably already know that it will be a packed weekend of historic racing and merriment, with concerts each evening possibly followed by a wee dram. See the website for details. You will be part of the event rather than a mere visitor. The Club package is less than half the price of tickets bought on the gate. Use the dedicated Usk Valley Classic Car Club Code which is: 2020CCD104

The most cost-effective way is to book a 3-day ticket which gives access to the circuit as well as to the music concerts. The earlier you book the cheaper it is. Early Bird Tickets booked before 31st March 2020 are £105 for a 3-day ticket for 2 people and in-field parking for their classic. Latest Club booking date is 31st May. Book Here: https://www.silverstoneclassic.com/ticket-info (Please let Nigel know via uskvccc@gmail.com which tickets you have booked – this will help us to plan our pitch.)

9th August - Three Cocks Steam Fair - Hay on Wye.  Possibly the best show of the year with fabulous club drive to get there.  Meet Waitrose Abergavenny at 8.30am ready to leave at 8.40am.  This year we will have a dedicated UVCCC club area. To be part of this, please contact uskvccc@gmail.com by 30th June at the latest. After this date, make a direct entry using www.vintage-society.org/show-entry

31st August - Pershore Plum Festival. If you wish to be included on the UVCCC Club entry please give name, car & £5 entry fee ASAP (and not later than 10th June) to Kaeren at one of our meetings. If you miss that deadline you will need to apply as an individual. Assemble at Monmouth Cattle Market car park (time TBA) and enjoy a scenic drive to the festival - much more than just cars to be enjoyed. Try plum ice cream, plum beer and even plum sausages. There's a carnival atmosphere with specialist foods and crafts. The ladies will enjoy this as much as the gents. Follow this link -  Pershore Plum Festival
